The difference between 2T and 4T on a plasma cutter refers to how the trigger operates. In 2T (two-touch) mode, you have to hold down the trigger the entire time you are cutting, and releasing it stops the arc. In 4T (four-touch) mode, you press and release the trigger to start the arc, and it stays on until you press and release the trigger again to stop, allowing for more comfortable operation during long cuts.
