The proper way to feed MIG wire is to ensure the wire is smoothly guided from the spool through the drive rolls and into the welding gun without kinks or tangles. Adjust the wire feed tension so it is firm but not too tight, and make sure the liner and contact tip are clean and the correct size for the wire being used.
