For welding fumes, you need a P100 (HEPA) filter or a filter rated as P3, which are designed to protect against fine particulates generated during welding. If you are welding materials that may release hazardous gases (like stainless steel or galvanized metal), use a combination filter that also protects against specific gases and vapors, such as an A1P3 or similar cartridge. Always ensure your respirator and filters are approved for welding by relevant safety standards (like NIOSH or EN).
