A push pull gun is preferable when MIG welding aluminium because it helps feed the soft aluminium wire more smoothly and consistently, reducing the risk of wire tangling or "birdnesting" in the liner. The gun has a motorized feeder that works together with the main wire feeder, ensuring stable wire delivery for better weld quality.
