Harris Deoxidized Copper TIG (GTAW) Welding Alloy 1/8 X 36" X 10# PKG - 03D0C60
Deoxidized Copper TIG (GTAW) welding alloy is used to weld high copper content base metals where good electrical conductivity exists. This alloy produces trouble free welds that are a good color match to copper. Deox copper can also be used to weld copper-to-steel. Conforms to ANSI/AWS A 5.7 & ASME SFA-5.7 ERCu.
Features
- Designed to weld high copper content base metals with good electrical conductivity
- Typical applications include welding copper-to-steel or to overlay it
- Produces high purity deposits for fabricating deoxidized copper
- Yields trouble-free welds
- Pre-heat required due to high thermal conductivity of copper base materials. Must select the current and shielding gas for the highest heat input
- Reddish brown color is a good match to copper
- Excellent corrosion resistance
- Use with 100% Argon or 25/75% Argon/Helium shielding gas mixture
- Conforms to ANSI/AWS A 5.7 & ASME SFA-5.7 ERCu
- Marked with model number on each end for easy identification after use
