Blockade® flux-coated phos-copper brazing alloy 2.0 x 500 mm x 1 ea. 25 lb. box

Overview

BLOCKADE flux-coated phos-copper brazing filler metal delivers innovative composition technology engineered to create superior large shoulder and cap formation at brazing connections. This advanced low melting temperature alloy provides exceptional fluid flow characteristics and rapid processing speeds, optimized for tight fitting connections under two inches in diameter. Specifically designed for copper-to-brass brazing applications including solenoid valves, ball valves, Schrader valves and distributors. BLOCKADE offers self-fluxing properties on copper materials, while its reduced melting temperature delivers outstanding performance for brass brazing operations. The pre-applied flux coating on the wire eliminates manual flux application requirements for enhanced productivity.

Features
  • Economical alternative to silver bearing filler metals delivering significant cost savings
  • Narrow melting range combined with superior flow characteristics allows operators to create professional "cap" or "build-up" finishes around completed joints
  • Low melting point technology minimizes brass overheating risks during brazing operations
  • Preferred replacement choice for silver brazing filler metals in demanding applications
  • Silver-free composition offers substantial cost reductions versus traditional brazing alloys
  • Not suitable for brazing steel or other ferrous alloy materials
  • Phosphorus content forms low ductility intermetallic compounds with base metal materials
  • Phosphorus-containing brazing alloys unsuitable for applications exposed to sulfur or sulfur compounds during service conditions
  • Optimized for copper and brass brazing with lower brazing temperatures, serving as effective replacement for many silver-bearing BCuP alloys
