Harris Safety-Silv 50N Flux-Coated High Silver Brazing Alloy 1/16 X 18 X 4 OZ TUBE - 50NF3184
Safety-Silv 50N flux-coated is a 50% high silver brazing filler metal engineered for brazing copper, brass, steel, nickel filler metals, and Stainless Steel. It is especially helpful where low brazing temperature must be maintained. This filler metal exhibits improved corrosion resistance on Stainless Steel compared to other silver braze filler metal deposits. It is frequently used to braze tungsten carbide to steel and tool steel for cutting tips, drill bits, and saw blades. The 2% nickel addition improves wetting and strength. The flux coating on the wire eliminates the need for manual flux application.
Features
- Cadmium-free brazing alloy
- Good replacement for cadmium-bearing alloys
- The 2% nickel addition improves wetting and strength
- Low melting range of 85°F (29°C) provides good flow
- Exhibits improved corrosion resistance on Stainless Steel compared to other silver braze alloy deposits
- Engineered for brazing copper, brass, steel, nickel alloys and Stainless Steel
- Frequently used to braze tungsten carbide to steel and tool steel for cutting tips, drill bits, and saw blades
- Flux-coating eliminates the need for manual flux application
- Conforms to EU RoHS directive
