Stay-Silv 2 is an economical, Phos Copper brazing filler metal alloy with a medium temperature range for brazing copper and copper-to-brass. The addition of silver provides an 1190oF solidus that widens the melting range compared to Harris 0. Stay-Silv 2 is useful for applications where mechanical properties are less critical. Recommended joint clearance of 0.002 in. - 0.005 in. Complies with the EU Reach & RoHS directive.

- Recommended joint clearance of 0.003 in. - 0.005 in. (0.08 mm - 0.13 mm)
- Corrosion resistance is generally similar to the copper base metal, but phosphorus containing alloys, including Stay-Silv 2, should not be used if the braze is exposed to sulfur or sulfur compounds in service
- Flux not required for copper brazing as it is self-fluxing. For brazing brass or copper-to-brass Stay-Silv white flux is suitable for most applications. Harris Eco Smart boric acid free flux, powder or paste, is an excellent choice to promote sound brazed assemblies
- Conforms to AWS A5.8 BCuP 6 & ASME Section II C SFA 5.8 BCuP-6
