The Lincoln Frontier® 400X Pipe - U3485-1 is an advanced engine-driven welder/generator offering best-in-class arc performance and cutting-edge welding technology, designed for maximum versatility on the jobsite. With multi-process capability, the Frontier 400X Pipe delivers optimized CC and CV modes, plus specialized modes to support mechanized equipment and advanced GMAW applications, including STT® and pulse welding. Unique to the Frontier 400X Pipe is a new, dedicated Pipe mode that produces the classic DC-style arc ideal for downhill pipe welding applications.
Equipped with an industry-first, next-gen display, this welder provides enhanced operator-focused features such as memory recall, maintenance reminders, and optional PIN user authorization. The integrated Auto-Stop/Start technology reduces engine idling, saving on fuel costs, reducing engine wear, and prolonging maintenance intervals. Additionally, CrossLinc® Technology enables adjustments to machine output at the arc, improving productivity, site safety, and weld quality. With up to 11 kW of continuous three-phase power, the Frontier 400X Pipe can run industrial tools like plasma cutters, pumps, or inverter welders, making it a highly versatile and reliable jobsite companion.
