Harris 5356 Aluminum TIG GTAW Welding Alloy 3/32 36 10# BOX - 0535650
5356 aluminum TIG (GTAW) welding alloy is an all-position, non-heat treatable alloy used to weld the 5XXX series alloys when 40,000 psi tensile strength is not a requirement. Alloy 5356 is a very good all-purpose alloy. It is the most widely used of all aluminum/silicon filler metals. Common applications are welding of boats/ships, bicycles, trucks, pressure vessels and automotive parts.
Features
- Designed for welding non-heat treatable base alloys, specifically 5XXX series alloys
- Welds 5XXX series alloys when 40,000 psi tensile strength is not required
- Very good general-purpose welding wire
- Most widely used aluminum welding alloy
- Common applications are welding of boats/ships, bicycles, trucks, pressure vessels and automotive parts
- Tensile strength of 39,000 psi
- White color (post anodized)
- All position welding, except vertical down
- Marked with model number on each end for easy identification after use
