Typical Application

Safety-Silv 56 is a cadmium-free high silver filler metal designed for brazing copper, brass, steel, stainless steel, and some nickel alloys. It produces premium-quality brazes with excellent fluidity, promoting braze penetration through unsurpassed capillary attraction and deep penetration with high ductility. Safety-Silv 56 features a narrow melting range and the lowest melting temperature among high silver brazing filler metals, ensuring good fluidity and joint strength. The silver deposit color matches well with stainless steel and silverware applications, making it suitable for the food processing industry. For optimal performance, close tolerances of 0.002 in. - 0.005 in. are recommended. This filler metal conforms to the EU Reach & RoHS directive and is certified to NSF Standard 51.
