Harris 60/40 Leaded Rosin Core Solder .062 x 4 OZ SPOOL 4 CARTON BLISTER CARD - 352837
60/40 tin-lead solid wire solder, with some exceptions, can be used to join copper and most copper alloys, lead, nickel alloys and steel. Tin-lead solders are not recommended for joints subject to high stress or vibration in the cooling industry due to lack of sufficient elongation properties. Similar to 50/50 but flows faster due to its narrow melting range. Lead bearing solders are not to be used in potable water system applications.
Features
- Joins copper and most copper alloys, lead, nickel alloys and steel, with some exceptions
- Generally used for small connections due to the limited amount of flux available
- Rosin-core base eliminates the need for manual flux application
- Popular choice for soldering electrical and electronic connections
- Heat sources include soldering guns, irons and air-fuel torches
- Not recommended for joints subject to high stress or vibration in the cooling industry due to lack of sufficient elongation properties
- Not for use with plumbing and potable water system applications
- Meets ASTM B-32 Specification;Alloy Grade Sn 60 Type WRAP-2;J-STD-006 Sn60Pb40Sb0.4 – Flux ROL1
