As one of the most powerful welder generators in its class, the Lincoln Electric Outback 185 offers 185 amps of DC output for stick electrode welding and 5,200 watts of continuous AC single-phase power. From construction and automotive repairs to structural welding, manufacturing, shipbuilding and mining, the outdoor stick welder has many uses. It comes with a calibrated output dial to quickly set your project's correct current and operating range.
Use the AC generator power for a grinder, work lights, a pump, motor starting or emergency power with the large 6.8-gallon (25.7 liter) fuel tank. Plug in a Lincoln Power MIG 140C or Power MIG 180C for wire welding with no adapters needed! The machine comes with one 240V AC outlet and two 120V AC outlets for different applications. Each outlet has built-in circuit breaker protection along with weather covers.
Lincoln Electric has partnered with Kohler to use their CH440 OHV 14-horsepower engine in every Outback 185. It's designed with an electric start switch that has an idle function and automatic shutoff if the oil level drops too low. The engine is certified by the U.S. EPA and the CSA to meet gasoline vapor emission standards.
The compact Outback 185 is easy to start with all engine controls on the front of the machine. It's easy to use for welding or as a backup power source.
