Solid MIG (GMAW) wire feeds continuously through the gun, which keeps the arc stable and lets the operator focus on travel and angle. Wire chemistry must match the base metal, and shielding gas must match the wire type, per AWS A5 classifications.
Innershield NR-152 0.068 inch welding wire is designed for high speed welding of specialty coated steels. Recommended for single pass welding on material thicknesses from 0.8 to 4.8 mm (0.030 to 3/16 in).
- Designed for high speed welding of specially coated steels
- Soft, consistent arc
- Porosity resistant
- Excellent overlapping capabilities
- Ideal for robotic applications
- Warning: NR-5 is NOT recommended for welding multiple passes
- Notes: The preferred drag angle is 15°, however, NR-152 is capable of welding at zero drag angle, facilitating easy fixturing in automatic applications
Typical Applications
- Single pass welding on thicknesses from 0.8 mm - 4.8 mm (0.030 - 3/16 in)
- Spot or short intermittent welds
- Continuous welding on galvanized or zinc coated carbon steel
- Automotive
- Transportation
