The Bug-O DC IV DRIVE W/BG (100:1) 120VAC - BUG-5100-EBG is a high-torque drive unit designed for demanding Bug-O automated welding and cutting applications. This specialized DC-IV drive features an enhanced 100:1 gear ratio that delivers exceptional torque for applications requiring slower travel speeds with maximum pulling power. Operating on standard 120VAC power, this drive unit provides the force necessary for vertical climbing applications, thick-wall pipe welding, or situations where significant resistance must be overcome while maintaining precise speed control.

Designed for maximum versatility, this drive unit mounts directly to Bug-O carriages specifically designed for DC drives, creating a complete motion system when paired with appropriate rails. The positive rack and pinion drive mechanism ensures slip-free operation in any position - horizontal, vertical, or overhead - when used with Aluminum Rigid Rail, Aluminum Flex Rail, or Bent Rigid Rail with a minimum radius of 10' (3 m). The integrated wide-range solid state speed control allows for precise adjustment of travel rates at the lower end of the speed spectrum, providing the fine control essential for critical welding applications where slower, powerful movement is required.
