The Bug-O DC DRIVE W/BG (150:1) 42VAC - BUG-5104-FBG is an ultra-high torque drive unit designed for the most demanding Bug-O automated welding applications in reduced-voltage environments. This specialized DC-IV drive combines a superior 150:1 gear ratio with 42VAC operation, delivering maximum torque with improved operator safety in conductive industrial settings. The extreme gear reduction provides the exceptional force necessary for the most challenging vertical climbing applications, extra-thick wall pipe welding, or situations where maximum resistance must be overcome while maintaining ultra-precise speed control.

Designed for maximum versatility, this drive unit mounts directly to Bug-O carriages specifically designed for DC drives, creating a complete motion system when paired with appropriate rails. The positive rack and pinion drive mechanism ensures slip-free operation in any position - horizontal, vertical, or overhead - when used with Aluminum Rigid Rail, Aluminum Flex Rail, or Bent Rigid Rail with a minimum radius of 10' (3 m). The integrated wide-range solid state speed control allows for precise adjustment of travel rates at the lowest end of the speed spectrum, providing the exceptional control essential for the most critical welding applications where extremely slow, powerful movement is required with enhanced electrical safety.
