Safety-Silv 50N is a high silver brazing filler metal containing 50% silver, designed for brazing copper, brass, steel, nickel alloys, and stainless steel, particularly in applications where low brazing temperatures are essential. It offers enhanced corrosion resistance on stainless steel compared to other silver brazing filler metals and is commonly used for brazing tungsten carbide to steel and tool steel, making it ideal for cutting tips, drill bits, and saw blades. The addition of 2% nickel improves wetting and strength, contributing to its reliability in demanding applications. Safety-Silv 50N conforms to the EU Reach & RoHS directive.
• Cadmium-free brazing alloy is good replacement for cadmium-bearing alloys
• The 2% nickel addition improves wetting and strength
• Low melting range of 85◦F (29◦C) provides good flow
• Exhibits improved corrosion resistance on Stainless Steel compared to other silver braze alloy deposits
• Engineered for brazing copper, brass, steel, nickel alloys, and Stainless Steel
• Frequently used to braze tungsten carbide to steel and tool steel for cutting tips, drill bits, and saw blades
• Conforms to the EU Reach & RoHS directive
