ER70S-3 mild steel MIG (GMAW) alloy is a general purpose welding alloy for fabrication of mild steel. It contains silicon and manganese as deoxidizers. Usually used with 75/25 argon/carbon dioxide or with higher contents of argon, such as 90/10. It can also be used with 100% carbon dioxide. Qualified to AWS A5.18 ER70S-3.
