Overview

Stay Silv 2HP features a higher phosphorus content which provides a narrower melting range and quicker flow. This alloy is designed for use on applications where close, uniform clearance can be maintained. Complies with the EU Reach & RoHS directive.

  • Cost saving, high phosphorus alloy
  • Its tighter melting range makes it more fluid
  • Medium-range alloy for brazing copper and copper-to-brass
  • Brazing range of 1300◦F - 1455◦F (704◦C - 788◦C)
  • Fluidity rating 5
  • Recommended joint clearance of 0.002 in. - 0.005 in. (0.51 mm - 0.13 mm)
  • Corrosion resistance is generally similar to the copper base metal, but phosphorus containing alloys, including Stay-Silv 2HP, should not be used if the braze is exposed to sulfur or sulfur compounds in service
  • Flux not required for copper brazing as it is self-fluxing. For brazing brass or copper-to-brass Stay-Silv white flux is suitable for most applications. Harris Eco Smart boric acid free flux, powder or paste, is an excellent choice to promote sound brazed assemblies
  • Complies with the EU Reach & RoHS directive
