Tuff-Shield clear hard-coated plastic safety lens protect the filter plate from damage during the welding process. It is used in the fixed portion of the flip-front helmet. This impact-resistant lens is designed to protect the welder's eyes when the flip-front is lifted. The cover plate only protect the filter plate from damage during the welding process. Tuff-Shield is not recommended as a cover lens. This lens meets ANSI 287.1 safety standards.
