Solid MIG (GMAW) wire feeds continuously through the gun, which keeps the arc stable and lets the operator focus on travel and angle. Wire chemistry must match the base metal, and shielding gas must match the wire type, per AWS A5 classifications.

SuperGlaze 4043 .035 Aluminum Silicon alloy is very commonly used to weld on 6XXX base materials and other heat treatable alloys. SuperGlaze® 4043 is a soft alloy, with good crack resistance and high penetration compared to other filler metals. It can be used for certain brazing applications and to weld on high silicon casts like A356. Welding of 5XXX base materials with 4043 and other 4XXX filler metals should be avoided.
- Designed for welding heat-treatable base alloys and more specifically the 6XXX series alloys
- Lower melting point and more fluidity than the 5XXX series filler alloys
- Low sensitivity to weld cracking with the 6XXX series base alloys
- 100% Argon Argon / Helium Mixtures Flow Rate: 30 - 50 CFH
