E347-16 is an AWS A5.4 niobium-stabilized austenitic stainless SMAW electrode with 75 ksi minimum tensile and ~19 Cr / 10 Ni / Nb chemistry, designed for welding 347, 321, and other niobium- or titanium-stabilized austenitic grades used in high-temperature service. The niobium addition prevents knife-line attack at sustained 800-1500 deg F service temperatures. The lime-titania (-16) coating delivers smooth arc and X-ray quality welds. Runs on AC or DC+ in all positions.
