Hand Amptrol™ Linear Slide Style, 13.5 ft (4.1 m), 8-Pin - provides 13.5 ft (4.1 m) of remote current control for TIG welding. The Amptrol™ mounts right on the TIG torch handle so you can adjust welding current with your thumb or finger while the arc is running, without breaking your body position or reaching back to the power source. This version terminates in an 8-pin connector for Lincoln Electric machines with an 8-pin remote receptacle.
- 13.5 ft (4.1 m) of Remote Current Control Provides 13.5 ft (4.1 m) of remote current control for TIG welding, letting the operator raise and lower amperage at the torch instead of walking back to the machine between passes.
- Linear Slide Style Control A linear slide control sets the welding current with a straight fore-and-aft thumb or finger stroke along the top of the body. The oversized slide is easy to find and move while wearing welding gloves, and it holds position so the current stays where you set it.
- Mounts Directly to the TIG Torch The Amptrol™ body straps onto the TIG torch handle so the current control sits under the hand that is already holding the torch. That keeps both hands on the work and frees up the other hand for filler rod.
- 8-Pin Remote Connection Connects to Lincoln Electric power sources fitted with an 8-pin remote receptacle. Lincoln states that the Sprinter™ 180Si offers "an 8-pin connector for foot pedals, hand amptrols and other devices," which covers the K5453-1 base machine and the K5600-1, K5584-1 and K5585-1 One-Pak® packages. Confirm the receptacle on your machine is 8-pin before ordering - Lincoln also builds 6-pin and 12-pin Amptrols (K963-3 and K963-4) for other power sources.
- Lightweight at 1 lb (0.5 kg) At just 1 lb (0.5 kg) the Amptrol™ adds almost nothing to the weight of the torch, so it will not fight you during long out-of-position or overhead work.
- Built for TIG (GTAW) Purpose-built for gas tungsten arc welding, where fine amperage control through the puddle is the difference between a clean bead and a burned-through edge - thin-gauge stainless, aluminum and tube work in particular.
- Backed by a 1-Year Warranty Covered by Lincoln Electric's 1 year warranty. Genuine Lincoln Electric Amptrol™, not an aftermarket copy.
