ECuNi is an AWS A5.6 copper-nickel SMAW electrode (~70 Cu / 30 Ni / UNS W60715) with 50 ksi minimum tensile, designed for welding 90/10 and 70/30 copper-nickel alloys (UNS C70600, C71500) used in marine seawater piping, heat exchangers, ship hulls, and offshore platforms. The deposit matches the seawater corrosion resistance and biofouling resistance of the cupronickel base. DC+ in flat and horizontal positions only; preheat 200-300 deg F on thicker sections.
